We recognize the anxiety, tension, and sadness that envelops our homes and streets in Lod, Ramleh, and Jaffa, and we want to tell you clearly: You are not alone.
Our strength in Lod, Ramla and Jaffa lies in our ability to come together and protect each other. We at Citizens Building a Community believe that our youth are the compass and the guarantee of a safer future.
Our appeal to you today is based on our shared values:
Protecting the social fabric: Lod, Ramle and Jaffa are our homes and it is our responsibility to preserve civil peace and reject all forms of incitement and hatred. Calmness and restraint in these moments are the height of courage and awareness.
Solidarity is our identity: We invite you, especially young people, to check on neighbors, the elderly, and families in need. Be the hand that reaches out to help and the heart that embraces the anxious.
Responsibility and awareness in dealing with social media: Your words on social media have a big impact. Let's refrain from spreading rumors or difficult scenes, and use our voices to spread hope, solidarity, and reliable information that protects people.
Commitment to safety: Your safety is our most precious possession. We ask everyone to adhere strictly to the prevention instructions and to go to safe places immediately when necessary.
Dear young people, you are not only part of society, you are the ones who build this society today and tomorrow. We here at the association are with you, listening to you, and supporting you in everything you need to get through this ordeal with peace and dignity.
