Lod Academy Project
Project definition
"Initiators" is a pilot project of the Citizens Building a Community (CBC) organization, which includes academic students from the city of Lod. The project aims to build a stronger and more solidarity-based community through various social initiatives targeting different age groups in the local Arab community.
๐ฏ Project Objectives
- Promoting the spirit of volunteerism and initiative among Arab academic students in mixed cities.
- Empowering participants to lead social enterprises that promote social cohesion.
- Developing a sense of belonging and responsibility towards the local community.
- Building a generation that is proactive, entrepreneurial, and active in its social environment.
๐Program Activities
- Organizing training workshops on leadership, community initiative, and project planning.
- Implementing social and educational initiatives for different groups (children, youth, elderly).
- Hold regular meetings with the coaching staff to support implementation and professional development.
- Community activities in neighborhoods: Volunteer days, awareness-raising events, and psychosocial support activities.

๐ Closing Event
At the end of the year, a fun and recognition day is held for volunteers, including:
- Distribute certificates of appreciation.
- Creating a space for socializing and exchanging experiences between volunteers from different cities.

We seek to graduate a generation of young Arab men and women in mixed cities who are socially conscious, committed to the issues of their community, and equipped with the necessary tools for initiative and influence, in order to build a common future based on justice, belonging, and dignity.
